Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a travel opportunity in Concord, NC. The MRI Technologist will prepare and position patients, operate MRI scanners, follow departmental protocols for contrast administration, evaluate image quality, and coordinate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging. The role includes patient identification, medical history review, basic patient care, and adherence to infection control and safety practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography or MR (ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRI). NC state licensure not required.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience required. Facility will accept first-time travelers.
- Experience performing MRI for ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations, including pediatric imaging and studies requiring anesthesia as needed.
- Experience preparing and administering IV contrast according to protocols.
- Ability to perform invasive procedures in accordance with bloodborne pathogen and infection control policies.
- Comfortable serving patients with medical devices and performing cardiac imaging when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a trauma or teaching hospital setting.
- Experience with a high-volume department (3040 patients per day).
- Advanced MRI certifications (if held).
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 06:0018:30.
- Standard hours per week: 36.
- Department serves Emergency Department, inpatient, observation, and outpatient areas.
- Traveler permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit per facility radius rule.
- Support available: Guest Services/Transport for inpatient, observation, and ED patients; Child Life Services for pediatric patients; radiology nursing support.
